Repair & Reopen the Yuma Post Office

Repair & Reopen the Yuma Post Office
Our Cause
Restore Full Postal Services to Yuma
The Yuma community needs your voice to help insure that the Yuma Post office is repaired or relocated and resumes full services. Right now we are working on a letter writing campaign to the Post Master General Louis DeJoy, Colorado-Wyoming District Manager Doug Smith and encouraging Senator Bennet & Hickenlooper's staff to do what they can to expedite the reopening.
Background
On May 20, 2024 the City of Yuma and the surrounding area was impacted by a severe hail storm. The post office building sustained major damage and has been closed to the public. It is now 2025 and the Post Office has not been repaired and reopened. A mobile unit has been brought in so that Post Office operations can be maintained. However, the unit is unreliable and has been closed multiple times causing disruption to normal services.
